One Accord Generational Movement is led by youth director Andrew Myers. Pastor Janet Richards and Andrew put their heads together to create a new youth movement in Parkersburg, WV. Andrew is in on staff at The Valley International House of Prayer and the founder of The Burn. “I was so honored to partner with what The Lord was doing in this next generation. I couldn’t wait to get started,” Myers said. “I want to thank Pastor Janet for the great opportunity.” Please feel free to contact Andrew any time.

Our History
One Accord kicked off in June of 2020 when Senior Pastor Janet Richards and Andrew Myers, director of The Burn young adult ministry, discussed what it would look like to offer some type of opportunity for youth at Downtown Bethel Equipping Center. The generational movement was birthed in the middle of a global pandemic. Nonetheless, there was a high level of excitement and confidence that The Lord was leading the charge for this work. Not having a clue of what to call the new group, an honest prayer came from Myers, soon to be youth leader, and the name One Accord came rushing in based on Acts 2:1. “It was evident to me, this was much more than simply a catchy name,” Myers noted. Interestingly enough, the initial gathering of the youth group ending up taking place the first Wednesday night after Pentecost Sunday. “The symbolism was glorious. I am expecting an outpouring of The Holy Spirit like in the book of Acts,” said the young youth leader. “Not only for the youth, but for the Mid-Ohio Valley as a whole.” The new group received an amazing space to hold their gatherings on the 3rd floor of the church. Of course, it was the floor with the highest elevation of the building. The youth floor was named The Upperroom (Acts 1:13) and the movement was established. The Lord continues to work in His prophetic timing as youth gather together in One Accord.
